A National Partnership to Build a Better Life for All: Your Guide to Economic Opportunities is aimed at informing South Africans of national and provincial government programmes aimed at providing temporary employment, developing skills and promoting entrepreneurship. ESST developed:

• a 32-page national publication
  
• 12-page inserts per province.
  

ESST printed and distributed the publications nationally. Created in 2007/8 for the Government Communication Information System (GCIS) on behalf of the Economic DG Cluster.

The People's Contract III: Train-the-Trainer

ESST was invited to train all GCIS Senior Communicators at their national conference in the second half of 2008. The day’s training started with a plenary session, then it broke into several break-away sessions where the publication, the inserts and the facilitator’s guide was workshopped with two to three provinces each.

We provided the 120 delegates at the conference with a trainer resource pack that included the following:

A Facilitator’s Guide
A CD with the following:

– Presentation on programmes in land and agriculture,infrastructure, social care, the environment, tourism, skills development and arts and culture
– Presentation specifically on programmes that support SMME development
– Spreadsheet list of collection points for material per province (5 per province)
– List of languages per province
– PDF of the national publication and all province inserts
