The Message of the Bible: Alive and in Colour

The Message of the Bible: Alive and in Colour is about becoming a disciple of Christ. This project is a community-based approach to spiritual growth. We work closely with all the churches, bringing our expertise of many years to bear.

The project is primarily aimed at people in rural and remote areas and informal settlements; those who have little or no literacy. The project will be implemented through churches and church ministries; Bible Study groups will be formed and a three-month radio campaign will support the intervention.

There is significant interest in, and support for, the project from religious leaders in South Africa and Africa. At this stage the project has the endorsements of, amongst others, The Most Reverend Desmond Tutu, the South African Council of Churches, the Bible Society of South Africa and the Congregational Church of South Africa.

What makes this project unique is that it is the first time that the Bible will be brought to people in a communicative, accessible and visually appealing format. In this way, we hope to bring the living message of the Bible to all the peoples of Africa.
