2002 Let Us Overcome Poverty. Funding from the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) made it possible for ESST to start a Poverty Eradication Project in the Eastern Cape, linking it directly to the existing HIV/Aids intervention. The outcomes show how people, especially through the formation of small, informal cooperatives, have embarked on initiatives to generate income. Aids sufferers, in turn, benefit from this initiative by having access to fresh vegetables.

2004 Let Us Overcome Poverty is part of a multi-pronged intervention with HIV/Aids: Let’s Talk about Life and Building a People’s Contract for Growth and Development. These three projects were implemented as part of an entrepreneurship course run by the NGO Bridges of Hope.To Top
